MASH (2016)

The Sentryline – M® Wire Rope Barrier is a high-tension cable barrier, with an accompanying terminal end, designed and tested for full compliance with MASH (2016) levels TL-3 and TL-4. Sentryline – M® Wire Rope Barrier allows an impacting vehicle to be re-directed in a safe and predictable manner under MASH 2016 impact conditions.

Post options

(Site specific acceptance from the RCA is required)

  • Bolt Down Sentryline – M® post option available – used on concrete ground beam where services or ground conditions do not allow use of standard concrete post footings
  • Sentryline – M® Driven Sockets – an alternative to the typical concrete post footing where a steel sleeve is driven inground

Specifications

  • Cable – 19mm 3 x 7 strand, pre-stretched by 35%
  • Cable heights (to the centre) as per drawing FX748
  • Typically Line Post footing piles are 300mm diameter x 750mm (0.05m3)
  • Length of Need is met at Transition Line Post 5
  • Tensioned to 25kN at 20°C (Tension may vary depending on air temperature at time of installation, see chart in Product and Installation Manual)
  • Max flare, 300mm over 10m of the terminal end (offset from tangent)
  • All components are hot dip galvanised (posts can be white powder coated)
  • Concrete is 25MPa
